Pushing Our Horizons: How Do We Tackle the Big, Hairy Challenges of the Next 20 Years?
An opportunity for key school administrators to sharpen their skills in today’s evolving educational landscape that will go beyond “why” and focus on how change can best be accomplished in a setting that is often change-resistant. Led by Grant Lichtman, an internationally-recognized K-12 transformation thought leader, attendees will work together as they imagine futures that may look very different from the past and build a capacity and comfort with ongoing change. Participants will examine what it means to shift schools from being teaching organizations to learning organizations, which traditions are important to preserve, and which traditions hamper this shift to a long-term growth mindset.

Who should attend?

  • Head of School
  • Assistant Head
  • Division Heads
  • Admissions/Development Officers
  • Other members of your school's leadership team

Grant Lichtman is an internationally-recognized thought leader on the transformation of K-12 education. He works with school teams to develop a comfort and capacity for change in a rapidly changing world. For almost 15 years, Grant was a trustee and senior administrator at one of the largest independent schools in the United States. Since 2012, Grant has visited more than 125 schools and districts, published three books, written numerous articles, and worked with thousands of school and community stakeholders to develop unique and powerful visions and strategies for transforming education away from the Industrial Age and towards future-focused models of deeper learning.

Grant is the author of three books: Moving the Rock: Seven Levers WE Can Press to Transform Education; #EdJourney: A Roadmap for the Future of Education; and The Falconer: What We Wish We Had Learned in School.
